In order to gain an in-depth understanding of the overall situation of students on Yuzhong Campus, accurately catch the students' mind trends, and investigate the real demands of students in their study and life, School/Hospital of Stomatology has recently carried out a series of "Three Approaches " activities on the Yuzhong campus, providing guidance to the students and get closer to their hearts through a variety of forms.

On April 23^rd, a teacher-student exchange forum was held in Room A105, Tianshan Hall, Yuzhong Campus. Li Yongchun, the organizer of "Three Approaches", Secretary of the Coummunist Party Branch and Chairman of Lanzhou University Press, Li Liuhao, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Liu Bin, the Dean, Yu Chunzi, the chief organizer, Xing Qianli, a full-time counselor, and student representatives attended the discussion.

At the meeting, the students actively asked questions about the professional skills enhancement of stomatology, the cultivation of scientific research ability, the direction of postgraduate entrance examination, and the training procedures for party membership, and held a lively discussion with teachers. Li Liuhao hoped that the students should have belief, perseverance and compassion, have faith in the country, and keep benevolent manner towards patients, abandon utilitarianism and step on in life.

After the meeting, the teachers went to the aerobics room in the east area of Yuzhong Campus to visit the freshmen who were undergoing cheerleading training. Li Liuhao encouraged the students to carry forward this conventionally advantageous project, think big and work hard, and strive for greater achievement. Liu Bin hoped that everyone could enjoy the training and pass down the glory. 

On April 24^th, Dean Liu Bin and full-time counselor Xing Qianli visited the students’ dormitories on Yuzhong Campus. During the visit, Dean Liu Bin had a cordial conversation with the students, asked in detail of the learning, living conditions at school, inquired the mind trends of the first-year students and the practical difficulties they encountered, and patiently answered the students’ questions and provided the in-depth guidance on the study of some courses. Liu Bin expressed that he hoped that the students would cherish the study time in their freshman year, arrange their study and life reasonably, actively plan their careers, and always keep an enterprising attitude, so as to lay a solid foundation for being all-round talents of "the Highest Precision, Sincerity, Kindness and Beauty" in stomatology.

“Deeper into Life, Guiding the Youth, and Close to the Heart". School of Stomatology will approach the student's study and life to further enhance the effectiveness of the " Three Approaches ". The aim is to understand the various obstacles faced by the vast students through diverse channels, focus on promoting the inter-affections between teachers and students, and meet the demands and expectations of the students’ self-fulfillment. Progress on ideological and political education must be made in parallel to the program of fostering talents in stomatology so as to take a coordinated effect, and it will unremittingly help propelling the vast students to become the pillars of society with all-round talents.
